St. Mary Medical Center offers unique and supportive palliative care services that provide extra support to patients trying to manage a serious illness.
Our goal is to assist patients through treatment with comfort and empathy. We discuss each patient's and family's goals, provide Advance Care Planning, and help relieve and reduce symptoms associated with treatment with expertise, care and compassion.
Palliative Care is designed to help each patient achieve the best possible quality of life through the relief of suffering and symptom control. For those facing discomfort from long-term illnesses, palliative care addresses symptoms, such as:

St. Mary’s Palliative Care Team works in partnership with each patient and family to determine their personal care priorities. This individualized and empathetic care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of caring professionals, which include:

- Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurses (CHPN)
- Spiritual care providers
- Social workers
- Physical therapists
- Specialists
