Apple Valley is located in Southern California’s High Desert region and is part of the Victor Valley in the county of San Bernardino. The Victor Valley is a central hub for reaching various areas:
- Within a 30-minute drive, you can go to a mountain ski resort or desert hiking area
- In a two-hour drive, you can be at the beach or Disneyland, Los Angeles, Hollywood or Palm Springs
- In three hours, you can be in Las Vegas for a show or a night on the town, boating on Lake Mead or the Colorado River
And, if you like traveling old highways, famous Route 66 runs through the Victor Valley and can take you westward to the beach or east toward Arizona and beyond.
The Victor Valley is one of the fastest growing areas in Southern California and is made up of several cities, including Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia, Adelanto, Wrightwood, Barstow, Lucerne Valley, Phelan, Pinon Hills, Helendale (Silver Lakes), Oak Hills and Lenwood.
The High Desert region ranges from the San Bernardino Mountains, to the Mojave Desert, parts of the Colorado River area, out to the Nevada state line and parts of Los Angeles County. The region offers an atmosphere of city, country or rural living space – all depending on your preference.
If you enjoy the four seasons, you will find it in the High Desert, from blooming spring flowers and warm summer nights to brisk fall days and – at times – snow days.
