Intensive Care
Designed for patients who require comprehensive care, St. Mary Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit provides comprehensive treatments and continual progress monitoring for patients with life threatening diseases and conditions.
With a specially trained ICU team and tele-sitters for patients who need extra support, we make sure to provide the best in critical care within a comfortable and family centered environment.
We understand that being admitted to an intensive care unit can be stressful and frightening for patients and their families. Because of this, we make sure each patient has an individualized care plan designed to meet their specific medical needs and treat them with accuracy, efficiency and comfort.
When in critical care, each patient is cared for by a registered nurse who provides regular visits and supportive care. These nurses carefully monitor a patient’s condition and communicate their progress to their physician. They are also available to answer any questions about care and treatment.
In order to provide the best critical care possible, our ICU is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and staffed with a multidisciplinary team of trained professionals. Our core team includes monitor technicians and critical care nurses specially trained to care for patients who have had open heart surgery.
