Health Services
CORE’s health services research explores how programs and care innovation can improve health outcomes.
Health services research has been a focus area for CORE since our founding in 1986. In fact, some of our earliest projects involved evaluating promising treatments in cancer and heart care.
Today, we continue to leverage our expertise in this area, providing strategic support and conducting research with partners inside and outside of Providence to support improvements to the delivery, use, quality, costs, organization, or financing of healthcare services. For example, examining the impacts of care coordination programs for those with complex health needs, supportive programs for people discharged from the hospital, innovative telehealth home monitoring programs, and programs to increase dental care for children.
