Our Approach

The physicians diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions including sports injuries and arthritis. They work as a team alongside physical therapists to keep people healthy and active.

Our surgeons perform numerous joint replacements each year, including total knee, hip and shoulder replacements. We use minimally invasive techniques whenever possible to help speed up your recovery time and potentially shorten your hospital stay. This includes arthroscopic surgery, or arthroscopy, which allows our surgeons to examine and treat joint damage through a small incision. Through collaboration with your primary care provider and a dedicated team of rehabilitation therapists and specialists, we help you achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our board-certified sports medicine physician provides non-operative orthopedic care suitable for patients who experience sports and exercise-related injuries, particularly sprains, muscle pulls and fractures. Starting with a comprehensive injury assessment, they will work to help you improve flexibility and strength while reducing pain. Additionally, they offer council on scuba evaluation and wilderness medicine disaster preparedness.

When to request a referral

Ask your primary care team for an orthopedic referral if you’re experiencing:

  • Ongoing pain that limits your movement and ability to participate in day-to-day or specific physical activities
    • Note: Sports medicine appointments do not require a referral.
  • Joint pain that wakes you up at night
  • No relief from over-the-counter medications and/or lifestyle changes

Our orthopedic experts are here to discuss treatment options, answer your questions and help find solutions that enhance your quality of life.
