Summer Opportunities
Camp Prov is an integrated day camp for children with special needs and their siblings, 2-12 years of age. Camp is held at Forest Park in Everett. Our staff consists of an educator, activities specialist, speech language pathologist, occupational and physical therapist, and Family Resources Coordinator.
Volunteers ages 14 and up are assigned to each group to provide that special “buddy” experience by assisting and participating with campers through their scheduled day camp activities including: swimming, arts & crafts, sensory play, music, singing, signing, story-telling, nature activities and dance & movement. Volunteers work under the direction of their assigned unit leader and other camp staff.
See Camp Prov flyer for open application dates, and the weeks Camp Prov will be held.
All new volunteers for Camp Prov and their parent or guardian will need to attend a mandatory new volunteer orientation. Returning volunteers do NOT need to attend orientation.
The High School Summer Volunteer Program will take place from June through September and will require 100 hours of volunteer service. This 10-week commitment includes a volunteer assignment in a hospital setting, as well as one week of service at Camp Prov, which is a day camp in Everett for children who have special needs.
See the High School Summer Program flyer for important dates, deadlines and all the latest info on this year’s program.
