Widely regarded as one of the best programs in the country and accredited by both The Joint Commission and The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Providence St. Jude Medical Center's Inpatient Rehabilitation Program provides comprehensive services to help patients recover from acute illness and injury.
Our program brings together experts from many areas to address the unique needs of the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. Individuals from across the nation have benefited approach, rebuilding their lives and reclaiming their independence.
We will coordinate directly with the hospital you're currently in to ensure a safe and effective transfer of care as well as work with your insurance company to arrange approval for your treatment at St. Jude.
How do I pay for rehabilitation services?
Inpatient rehabilitation is typically covered by most health plans. For more information, you should check with your insurance company or contact us.
Will I see the same doctor every day?
Yes, one of our two medical directors will visit you 5-6 days a week to monitor your progress and make any needed adjustments to your treatment plan.
How long does rehabilitation take?
Treatment is designed to meet the specific needs of each patient and varies from a few days to weeks, according to the type of injury or condition.
Will I have a phone and TV? What about email access?
You will have your own TV and telephone, and wireless internet access is available.
Can I have a private room?
Most of our rooms are private and we are typically able to accommodate requests for private rooms.
Will I see my primary care physician?
Hospitalists are available on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The hospitalist will be in frequent contact with your rehabilitation and primary care physicians, discussing the details of your care.

The St. Jude Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency is a 12-month program that allows residents the unique opportunity to gain clinical experience and mentorship with a variety of patient diagnoses that provides the full spectrum of care from in-patient and outpatient to community participation. Just 30 minutes from the beach, St. Jude Medical Center is located in Fullerton, California with a 6000-square-foot outpatient facility in nearby Brea at the Centers for Rehabilitation and Wellness (CRW) dedicated to the neurological patient population. The CRW is equipped with three indoor therapeutic pools, pediatric gym with rock climbing wall, wheelchair seating and positioning clinic, full spectrum gym, simulated apartment, wellness community fitness, cognitive recovery day program, driving simulator and full auditorium for professional conferences and lectures.
