Performance Therapy (Physical Therapy) provides a multi-disciplinary approach to outpatient therapy. Our compassionate team of therapists will work closely with your physician to provide you with the best possible treatment.
The 48 private rooms in the Orthopedic Unit at Providence Saint John's are equipped with the latest modern amenities to accommodate the special needs of each patient. Physical therapy is conveniently located on the same floor to provide patients with easy access during recovery. For the convenience of patients' guests, a family waiting room is available in the Orthopedic Unit near the visitors’ elevator.
For orthopedic care, more than one treatment plan may be selected, often beginning with a conservative approach. Your physician's recommendation may involve a combination or progression of the following:
- Rest
- Medication
- Immobilization (cast, splint, sling, brace)
- Activity modifications
- Therapy: physical, occupational or rehabilitative
- Orthotics
- Exercise
