Frequently Asked Questions

The goal of cardiac rehab is to improve your heart health while recovering from a heart-related condition or procedure, but it has other benefits that contribute to your health and well-being. Cardiac rehab could help you lower high blood pressure or cholesterol or improve your mental health and ability to perform day-to-day activities.

According to the American Heart Association, cardiac rehab reduces further risks of cardiovascular disease by roughly 30%.

Most types of insurance cover between 18 – 36 sessions of cardiac rehab.

It’s always best to check with your insurance provider to see if a co-payment is required, or if you will incur any out-of-pocket costs.

At the start of your cardiac rehab journey, you’ll complete several surveys to help our team create a tailored exercise and education program that’s personalized just for you.

During each appointment, you’ll spend about 60 minutes performing mild-to-moderate cardio and strength training exercises.

Our knowledgeable staff also provide educational sessions, and you’ll always be invited to come and participate.

Completing all your prescribed sessions of cardiac rehab isn’t mandatory, but it’s highly encouraged. The more sessions you complete, the higher your likelihood of better long-term health outcomes.

According to the American Heart Association, a greater number of sessions leads to improved long-term outcomes in physical and mental health, longevity, and exercise capacity.
