Our neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuroscience specialists – with subspecialties such as minimally invasive surgery – have unmatched expertise in the region. They make up a multidisciplinary, fellowship-trained team. Your team may also include neurologists in our new critical care unit, endovascular neurosurgeons and specially trained nurses. We partner with Grace Surgical Hospital for primary care and pain management, which means you can get all the services you need, close to home.

We use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible to improve outcomes and reduce recovery times. If you come to the emergency room with a stroke, you may be given Tenecteplase, an innovative new clot-busting medication. We also perform the most thrombectomies in the region to remove blood clots from arteries or veins.

As the only stroke center in West Texas and eastern New Mexico, we perform the largest local number of WATCHMAN device implants, which help prevent stroke. We also have an epilepsy monitoring unit, which evaluates seizure patients with continuous EEG video.
