Neurological Care Texas

We provide compassionate, leading-edge care for patients with even the most complex neurological conditions. And we’ve been caring for the people of West Texas and eastern New Mexico for over 100 years.

Why Choose Us for Your Neurological Care?

The Covenant network offers the most comprehensive neuroscience services in West Texas and southeastern New Mexico. From complex spine surgery and acute stroke support to pain management and rehabilitation, we’ve got your neurological needs covered. Here are five more reasons to trust us with your care:

We work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. Our neuroscience experts nurture a long-term relationship with you to monitor your condition and manage your care. We treat your whole person – body, mind and spirit – with support services from comprehensive rehabilitation to therapy and spiritual care.

Our neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuroscience specialists – with subspecialties such as minimally invasive surgery – have unmatched expertise in the region. They make up a multidisciplinary, fellowship-trained team. Your team may also include neurologists in our new critical care unit, endovascular neurosurgeons and specially trained nurses. We partner with Grace Surgical Hospital for primary care and pain management, which means you can get all the services you need, close to home.

We use minimally invasive procedures whenever possible to improve outcomes and reduce recovery times. If you come to the emergency room with a stroke, you may be given Tenecteplase, an innovative new clot-busting medication. We also perform the most thrombectomies in the region to remove blood clots from arteries or veins.

As the only stroke center in West Texas and eastern New Mexico, we perform the largest local number of WATCHMAN device implants, which help prevent stroke. We also have an epilepsy monitoring unit, which evaluates seizure patients with continuous EEG video.

We are committed to providing access to the best care to everyone in West Texas and eastern New Mexico. We respect and support the racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual and spiritual identities of our patients. We have translation services for non-English-speaking patients. And in keeping with our Mission, Providence offers financial assistance programs that provide free and low-cost care to those who are eligible.

Covenant Health features world-class neurologists, neurosurgeons and dedicated neuroscience subspecialists in two hospitals: Covenant Medical Center and Grace Surgical Hospital. We are part of the Providence family, and as our patient, you benefit from a collaborative network that includes award-winning physicians, scientists, researchers and caregivers across 51 hospitals in seven states. The power of our network is one of the reasons so many neurological patients choose us for their care each year.
