Mount Carmel’s Chaplaincy Services staff is available for patients and family members 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Contact the hospital operator and ask to have the Chaplain paged, or you’re welcome to leave at message at extension 5395.
The Providence Dominican Chapel is located on the second floor above the main entrance of the hospital. All are welcome to use the chapel at any time for personal prayers and meditation.
Providence has a tobacco-free policy on all campuses. Washington State law (RCW 70.160), prohibits smoking in all indoor public places and workplaces, as well as within 25 feet of any entrance.
- Patients are not allowed to smoke. Physicians cannot provide permission to patients to leave their care units to smoke. Patients may request prescriptions for tobacco cessation products from their physicians.
- Visitors smoking on the Mount Carmel campus is prohibited. This includes parking lots. There are no designated smoking areas at Mount Carmel Hospital.
