We Honor Veterans
We are honored to serve those that have served in the military.
Providence is proud to participate in We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Through this program, hospice professionals across the country focus on a single purpose: to provide comfort and support to veterans at the end of their lives.
America's veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it's never too late to give them a hero's welcome home. It's an honor to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve; it's our way of saying thank you for the sacrifices they have made in serving us.
Providence Hospice's We Honor Veterans program includes:
- Addressing veterans' unique end-of-life care needs
- Recognition pinning ceremonies
- Veteran-to-veteran volunteers
- Specially-trained staff and volunteers who are prepared to meet the specific challenges veterans and their families face at the end of life
