- At-home dialysis:
- Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) – continuous exchanges of dialysis solution throughout the day
- Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis (CCPD) – a machine called a cycler drains a patient’s abdomen overnight
- Inpatient acute dialysis:
