Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks hospitals in 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions as well as high quality across all areas of care. An overall rating of "high performing" indicates a hospital was significantly better than the national average in a given procedure or condition. The "best regional" rank is determined by a hospital’s performance in the adult specialty rankings analysis and by its scores across each of the 20 procedure and condition areas U.S. News & World Report evaluates.

The Baby-Friendly USA (BFUSA) Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) recognizes hospitals that provide optimum, evidence-based care to mothers and babies. To qualify as “Baby-Friendly,” a hospital must demonstrate national best practices that offer infants the best start in life by creating an environment where breastfeeding is made easy and mother-baby bonding is improved. BFHI is sponsored by the World Health Organization and the United Nations’ Children’s Fund.
Baby-Friendly Hospital Designation
