- Cardiologists
- Interventional Radiologists
- Nurses
- Catheterization Lab Technicians
You can pre-register for a cath lab procedure at our Outpatient Pavilion, located just south of the main hospital at 1140 W La Veta Avenue. The Pavilion is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The pre-registration process may take up to 1 hour to complete, so please plan accordingly.
Once your registration has been processed, you’ll receive a call from our Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit nurse who will confirm your arrival time and answer any questions that you may have about your procedure.
Our Cath Lab schedules procedures on a “to follow” basis. This means that your procedure may be a bit later or even earlier depending on the procedure happening prior.
Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding food and drink the day of the procedure. For patients who have not been given specific instructions from their doctor, do not eat any solid foods (including candy, mints and gum) or drink 8 hours before the time of your procedure.
Talk to your doctor about taking your routine medications. They may have specific instructions for you if you take:
- Diabetic medications
- Blood thinners such as Coumadin
- Herbal medicine/supplements
If you have questions before your scheduled procedure, please call us at 714-744-8796.
