Our Continuing Medical Education Program offers a wide variety of highly regarded conferences designed to enhance the performance of physicians in all disciplines.

Grand Rounds & Schwartz Rounds

2021 Grand Rounds Schedule Coming Soon

Grand Rounds are held twice a month at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Conference Rooms A-D and at Petaluma Valley Hospital in Goverman Hall. Grand Rounds are normally on the 2nd and 4th Fridays each month from 12:30–1:45 p.m., with lunch served at 12:00pm (unless otherwise noted). See our CME calendar above. Grand Rounds will also be listed in our Events section.

Schwartz Rounds are multi-disciplinary discussions with a non-traditional format around the human dimension of medicine. They are presented at over 520 healthcare facilities in the US, Canada and the UK. Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital began presenting rounds in 2015 and Petaluma Valley Hospital in 2016. They have been very successful and are helping to shape our culture in a positive manner.

CME Committee

The CME Committee meets quarterly to discuss and identify topics for education and members are very interested in planning CME activities in areas where improvement could be made or where you find topics of importance. If you would like to suggest a topic for education, please use the Activity Request Form to document WHY physicians need the topic (what needs to be improved or is not known) and WHAT physicians should be able to do better (desired outcomes or goals). Please provide as much information as possible. If you have a preferred speaker for the suggested topic, please submit the name and contact information of the speaker. Please submit your form to the CME Coordinator. If you need any assistance with completing the form, please contact the CME Coordinator. Once the form is submitted, it will be reviewed by CME Committee for consideration. Your assistance in providing a relevant CME program for our medical staff members is greatly appreciated.
