Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians diagnose and treat pain and restore maximum function lost through injury, illness or disabling conditions. Diagnosis may include a variety of tests and studies, including diagnostic ultrasound, electromyography and nerve conduction studies.

The focus of our specialist is on developing a comprehensive program to put the pieces of your life back together after injury or disease – without surgery. We seek to optimize your health and treat the whole person. Many of our patients also are taught techniques, exercises and therapies that they can do practice at home.

We strive to help our patients improve their function through non-surgical treatments and therapies, and will work with you to develop a treatment plan specific to your health needs.

Our team specializes in back pain and spasticity, offering the following services:

  • Comprehensive spine care
  • Non-surgical treatment of spine and musculoskeletal pain
  • EMG and nerve conductions studies
  • Ultrasound-guided joint and bursa injections and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Diagnosis, workup and surgical referral, if needed
A new treatment option for knee pain

Kadlec Physical Medicine and Rehabilation is now offering iovera°, an innovative cold therapy to relieve pain related to osteoarthritis and knee replacement surgery. Iovera° is also an option for people who can’t have knee replacement surgery. The noninvasive treatment is administered with a handheld device that freezes the nerves that send pain signals to your brain. Iovera° may decrease the need for opiates and shorten your time in the hospital after surgery. Talk to your provider to see if iovera° is an option for you.

Conditions we treat include:

  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Acute muscle and ligament injuries
  • Acute and chronic pain
