Our Approach
At Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, we provide a complete range of health care services to all residents and visitors of Kodiak Island.
As a designated critical access hospital, we offer higher-level care to our island community. Our hospital features 25 acute care beds, including four birthing suites and two intensive care beds. Additionally, our extended care facility Providence Chiniak Bay Elder House has 22 long-term care beds.
Our hospital staff includes a mix of primary care doctors, surgeons and specialists in family practice, general practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and radiology.

Our Specialty Clinic brings medical specialists right to you, so that you can receive expert care close to home.
Find visiting specialists for ear, nose and throat (ENT) care, podiatry, audiology and orthopedics as well as in-house specialists for services ranging from general surgery to pediatrics. Doctor referrals are required.
Free Interpretation Services
For clear and effective communication, we offer free interpretation services to our patients, so that you get exactly what you need from your care visit.
We also have a variety of information available to help you understand your rights as a patient, available in English, Spanish and Tagalog.
