"A few years ago, I invited Mom to live in my home, trusting that when she required more daily attention, a safe and compassionate place would be found. This was not a goal; it was a prayer. Well, the time came and my prayer was answered when I found ElderPlace. Not only is Mom receiving good medical care, she is engaged in activities and friendships which nourish her soul. It feels like I found her a whole 'village' where she is a cherished elder. With the weight of caregiving lifted from my shoulders, my time with Mom is now spent creating new memories and soaking up her wisdom. ElderPlace is a gift to both of us."
–Wynona, daughter of participant Jessie
"It's fun to be at ElderPlace in the daytime. They're all nice people and everybody wants to help you out. I couldn't ask for anything better."
–Doris, age 80
"My balance has improved (as a result of working with ElderPlace’s physical therapists). I went from completely dependent on my walker to walking well with my cane, and even some walking without my cane. In addition, I have a definite upswing in my life - my body, my mind, my spirit. I'm satisfied with where I am."
–Kathleen, age 70
