Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Names New Chief Nursing Officer

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center has appointed Michelle Hook, MSN, RN, NE-BC, as its new chief nursing officer. She brings more than 15 years of progressive nursing leadership experience to the Burbank hospital, including most recently serving as the chief nurse executive at Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles medical center.

PSJMC CNO Hook’s distinguished career is highlighted by her strategic leadership in diverse health care settings, where she has consistently delivered improvements in patient care quality, staff engagement and operational efficiency. 

A graduate of Western Governors University, Hook holds both a Master of Science in nursing leadership and a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Her passion for developing high-performing teams and creating a culture of safety and accountability is evident in her numerous accomplishments. Notably, she led a transformational nurse leader committee at Kaiser Permanente, empowering charge nurses to operate with greater autonomy and accountability and implemented programs that significantly reduced health care-associated infections.
