Providence and Cedars-Sinai:
Together We've Raised the Bar

The joint venture between Providence and Cedars-Sinai drives our clinical leadership, innovative spirit and transformative potential.

Providence and Cedars-Sinai joined forces in 2019 with a singular purpose: bringing the highest-quality health care to the San Fernando Valley community. Combining the resources and talent of a community-centered hospital and a renowned medical powerhouse, this innovative and groundbreaking partnership has enhanced local services across the continuum of care and expanded local access to specialty care and advanced treatments.

Through a major expansion of our nationally ranked medical center, we’re fulfilling the promise of creating a world-class, ultra-modern, full-service health care campus that offers San Fernando Valley residents elevated care incredibly close to home.

Elevating care in the Valley

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center continues to raise the bar on clinical excellence while providing an intimate setting for compassionate, personalized care.

It is a privilege to announce the opening of the Friese Family Tower, the centerpiece of an extensive and ongoing hospital expansion and modernization initiative.

A state-of-the art building that is reflective of our world-class care and services, the Friese Family Tower features an expanded, ultra-modern emergency department, innovative technology for quicker access to cutting-edge treatment, and calming places to heal.

Advanced care and services

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center is home to an expert community of more than 800 physicians. We offer extensive services, including primary care, women’s and children’s, robotic surgery, heart and vascular, neurosciences, surgical oncology, emergency care and access to a vast array of clinical trials through Cedars-Sinai.

We have a patient-first approach with compassionate caregivers who listen and prioritize every individual’s unique needs and provide seamless access to specialists across Providence and Cedars-Sinai.

Tarzana Reimagined — a major campus expansion and redesign project and the single largest health care construction project in the history of the San Fernando Valley — has allowed us to upgrade our technology, expand vital services and elevate our level of care. With innovation at the forefront of design, here are some of the enhancements we’ve planned to better serve our growing communities in the Valley.

Our Women's Pavilion provides a full spectrum of care before, during and after pregnancy in a state-of-the-art facility, all in one convenient location. Specialized care for complex pregnancies. Sophisticated yet home-like delivery rooms. An all-new pediatrics wing equipped with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. These are some of the ways we’re helping women and children thrive.

robotic-surgery

As the Valley’s leading robotic surgery program, we’ve seen patients benefit from less pain and faster recovery after robotic colorectal, gynecological, kidney, liver, and gallbladder procedures. Through our partnership with Cedars-Sinai, we look forward to doubling our robotic capacity and broadening these services to include gynecologic oncology and thoracic surgeries.
