Inflammatory bowel disease is a term that describes gastrointestinal (GI) tract conditions that cause chronic inflammation. The two most common types of IBD are Crohn’s disease, which affects the lining of the GI tract, and ulcerative colitis, which affects the large intestine.
Our services are available to all patients who are 18 years old or older with IBD. Our team of board-certified gastroenterologists offers comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to your needs.
Our Services
Our specialists focus on treatment to reduce inflammation that causes:
- Persistent abdominal pain and cramping
- Change in bowel movement habits
- Chronic diarrhea
- Bloody stools
- Nausea or vomiting
- Feeling of incomplete bowel evacuation
We provide consultations, testing, follow-up care and emergency care. Our services include:
- Blood tests
- Stool tests
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Emergency care at Mission Hospital
- Medication management
- Referral to a dietician or nutritionist for nutrition counseling
- Referral to mental health services for emotional support
Preparing for Your Appointment
To make the most of your visit, please do the following:
- Complete any paperwork provided by our office and bring it with you.
- Make a list of questions or concerns to discuss with your provider.
- Bring an updated list of medications and supplements you’re currently taking. If possible, bring the bottles with you.
