Meet the Team

At Providence, you'll have access to a vast network of dedicated and compassionate providers who offer personalized care by focusing on treatment, prevention and health education.

Why Choose Us for Your Neurological Care?

Our subspecialized, fellowship-trained experts provide advanced, whole-person care for a wide variety of conditions, including movement disorders, stroke, and brain tumors. Compassionate, comprehensive treatment is just one of the reasons you can trust us to care for your neurological and cranial disorders. Here are six more:

Your neurosurgeons and neurologists work with you and the rest of your multidisciplinary team to design a treatment plan that fits your needs. We have specially trained nurse navigators for different subspecialties, such as brain tumors, to help guide you through your treatment and recovery. And we offer a wide range of support services, from comprehensive rehabilitation to support groups and spiritual care, to treat your whole person – body, mind and spirit.

We offer highly specialized programs for many neurological conditions. For example, our state-of-the-art “brain gym” for patients with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia combines physical activity and cognitive stimulation, which may keep conditions from progressing and help improve mental agility. Combining physical and mental exercise helps patients strengthen brain function. Our brain gym is one of the most advanced rehabilitation clinics in the country. Our 11 Centers of Excellence also offer specialized programs and top care for a range of neurological conditions.

When you’re our patient, you’re cared for by world-class neurology specialists. We have deep experience treating complex conditions such as brain tumors, movement disorders and vision problems related to the nervous system. Our fellowship-trained multidisciplinary teams include neurosurgeons and neurologists. A majority of our neuroscience specialists are board-certified in their subspecialties, and our experts are trained in even the rarest fields, such as multiple sclerosis.

Providence Saint John’s Health Center Neurosciences offers options and hope to patients seeking the most advanced therapies for their neurological condition. We’re the premier pituitary tumor program in the country, and patients even travel to Saint John’s from around the world for our expertise. We also offer a fellowship program to train the next generation of neurosurgeons on pituitary tumor surgery. We train on the keyhole surgical approach, a minimally invasive surgery that improves recovery times and outcomes for patients who have tumors removed. In fact, one of our neurosurgeons was among the earliest adopters of the keyhole surgical approach, with more than 2,000 minimally invasive keyhole surgeries performed.

As our patient, you have the opportunity to participate in one of our many neuroscience clinical trials in partnership with the Pacific Neuroscience Institute. These trials include research into treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, brain tumors, anxiety and depression. This groundbreaking research and innovation translate to better care – and a better life – for you and your loved ones.

At Providence Saint John’s Health Center Neurosciences, we are committed to providing access to the best care to everyone in our diverse community. We respect and support the racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual and spiritual identities of each of our patients. We offer services such as translation for non-English-speaking patients, telehealth programs and community stroke education services. In keeping with our Mission, Providence offers financial assistance programs that provide free and low-cost care to those who are eligible.

Every neurological patient at Providence benefits from our deep expertise across many subspecialties. We are part of a collaborative network that includes award-winning physicians and research scientists across 51 hospitals in seven states. The power of this network is one of the reasons nearly 3,700 people choose Providence Saint John’s Health Center Neurosciences for their neurological care each year.
