Cardiogenic shock is a life-threatening condition that happens suddenly when your heart can’t pump enough blood to keep up with your body’s demands. Cardiogenic Shock is most often caused from a heart attack. Without oxygen, your cells can’t function, which could lead to organ failure and be fatal. This is an emergent situation and care is provided in the hospital setting.
