Billing Services for Professionals
Providence Laboratory Services offers you a wide range of billing options. Depending on your needs and specifications, we can bill:
- Your office or laboratory
- The patient
- Insurance carriers
- Medicare/Medicaid
Please include the ICD-10 code(s) to the highest level of specificity. On the test requisition, please include:
- Patient's full name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Address
- Phone number
- Responsible part
- Name of the ordering physician
We will bill any primary insurance carrier directly if we are provided with complete information. Providence is an approved provider for most managed care organizations. The list of HMOs and PPOs with which we are affiliated is continually expanding.
Referral to other laboratories
Providence Laboratory Services continually develops our in-house test menu to ensure quality test results while reducing turnaround times. Providence also partners closely with LabCorp to perform referral testing for tests not performed in our hospital labs. Charges for these referred tests are subject to change without notice. In addition to the test fee, handling and transport charges may apply. If you have questions about referral testing, please contact LabCorp Client Services 503-215-6555.
Alternate billing available
Uninsured patients are automatically billed at lower fees than list price for laboratory testing. Further reductions in billing are also available to patients through the Providence Regional Business Office. For more information, please call the business office at 503-215-4300 or 877-215-7833.
