Weight Loss Surgery
If you struggle with your weight and dieting has not worked in the past, weight loss surgery can be an effective way to lose weight and improve your health.
At Providence, we provide a comprehensive program to help you prepare for surgery and achieve healthy, long-term weight loss. Our approach includes:
- Pre-surgery education
- Nutritional education and guidance
- Weight loss surgery using minimally-invasive techniques whenever possible:
- Gastric band removal and adjustment
- Gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y)
- Vertical sleeve gastrectomy
- After surgery support
After surgery, you will spend one or two nights in the hospital. Then you’ll meet for regular check-ins with your care team at least every 12 weeks for the first year. After the first year, we recommend following up with the team each year, or more frequently if needed.
