Providence Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program for Clinicians
Providence Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program offers treatment for a range of diseases, including:
- Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- Multiple myeloma
- Testicular cancer
- Other solid tumors
- Acute leukemia
The program has been accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) since 2000. This accreditation gives our program the ability to perform transplant protocols through the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN) and the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG).
We offer access to clinical trials and provide personal service to cancer patients in the state-of-the-art Providence Cancer Center on the campus of Providence Portland Medical Center.
To help ensure a successful transplant, our experienced team provides comprehensive services, including:
- Intensive pre-transplant evaluation
- Stem cell mobilization and collection
- High-dose chemotherapy and, in some cases, total body irradiation
- Stem cell transplantation
- Daily lab work and physician visits until engraftment begins
- Close monitoring throughout recovery
- Emotional and physical support from cancer counselors, social workers, chaplains, dietitians and physical therapists
