Awards and Accreditation

Excellence is one of the five foundational values of our organization. We expect accountability for excellence in performance and for adherence to professional and organizational standards.

Many of the rigorous standards we abide by were created by our health care system. Additional standards are required by county, state and national organizations.

When seeking information about quality health care or patient satisfaction scores at a medical center, it is important that you find reliable, objective information which will help you make an informed decision.

A number of organizations have given Queen of the Valley and its many departments high rankings. Queen of the Valley holds the following distinctions for various services:

Emergency/Trauma

  • Verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons
  • Earned the Bronze Standard – Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA) from the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2024

Maternity

  • Earned California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative’s (CMQCC) Superstar Award: Small Birth Volume Hospitals and Quality and Sustainability Award: QI Academy Collaborative Hospitals in 2023 for providing exceptional care to Napa Valley women and their families

U.S. News & World Report

Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks hospitals in 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions as well as high quality across all areas of care. An overall rating of "high performing" indicates a hospital was significantly better than the national average in a given procedure or condition. The "best regional" rank is determined by a hospital’s performance in the adult specialty rankings analysis and by its scores across each of the 20 procedure and condition areas U.S. News & World Report evaluates.

We are proud to have received the following:

  • High Performing Hospital in Stroke (2024-25)
