Facilitating a Smooth Transition

After a hospital stay, not everyone has the ability and strength to return to everyday living. Healdsburg Hospital’s Swing Bed Program is designed to facilitate a smooth transition between acute care and returning home or to other living arrangements.

After a three-day, medically qualifying stay as an inpatient, our Swing Bed Program allows you to remain in a hospital setting if you need more time to recover from an illness, injury or surgery.

Among the many benefits are access to 24-hour skilled nursing care and a variety of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory. We will provide services for inpatient recovery as long as you are able to meet the guidelines for additional rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries, stroke, wound care and other medical conditions. These skilled services are covered by Medicare and many other private insurance plans.
