Our Emergency Department, open 24/7 and staffed with highly qualified emergency physicians and nurses, provides emergent and urgent care to more than 10,000 patients each year. This is the only fully equipped emergency department located between Santa Rosa and Ukiah.

In 2008, our Emergency Department was rebuilt and expanded, courtesy of a generous donation from the Wetzel family of Alexander Valley in Healdsburg. With eight treatment stations available, the average wait time to see a physician is 15 minutes or less. The California average for hospital emergency departments is four hours “from door to doc.” Our patients often express their satisfaction with our short wait time and the friendliness of our staff.

Our rapid response time allows us to initiate your care quickly, and our triage protocols enable us to begin your care within minutes, whether a “heart attack” or a “brain attack.” We have passed the rigorous training and evaluation process to become a Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Our team includes highly experienced emergency care physicians, nursing staff, and technicians who will assist you on your path to health. If the emergency physician determines that you need inpatient care, we have a hospitalist on campus 24/7 to admit and care for patients who require medical, surgical, or intensive care.
