World-Class Cancer Care in Texas

At Covenant Health, the brightest minds are treating cancer, and the biggest hearts are treating you. We provide world-class cancer care close to home for people throughout West Texas and eastern New Mexico. We take a whole-person approach to care that combines cutting-edge treatment with compassionate support – through your entire wellness journey.

Why Choose Us for Cancer Care?

At Covenant Health, we know how important your life is, from the everyday moments to the milestones and family celebrations. We care for you, so you don’t miss any of those moments. From diagnosis to recovery, you have access to the best cancer specialists and a full range of support services for you and your loved ones – all conveniently located in the region’s largest, most prestigious health system.

As our patient, you receive personalized care throughout every stage of your cancer journey. We enhance this care with support services for your body, mind and spirit – during and after treatment.

We also provide expert cancer care for children at the first and only freestanding children’s hospital in the region. Our pediatric oncologists partner with researchers at the Children’s Oncology Group to provide leading-edge care for children with cancer.

One thing patients can count on is that cancer care takes a team! Your care team may include board-certified medical, surgical and radiation oncologists who use the most advanced techniques in your diagnosis and treatment. They work closely with an extensive multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, nurse navigators, social workers, dieticians and other key members who all specialize in oncology.

We offer the only outpatient palliative medicine clinic in the Lubbock area, as well as mobile in-home health to help you manage your symptoms.

Our neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists use the most advanced Gamma Knife in the region. This non-invasive radiosurgery technology reduces patient pain and improves recovery time.

Additionally, we are the only organization in the region to offer on-site genetic counseling for both children and adults.

Cancer doesn’t discriminate, but access to great cancer care hasn’t always been the same for everyone. At Covenant Health, we are deeply committed to making sure every patient we treat has access to the best cancer care. We offer a shuttle service and partner with the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge to provide patients in need with free lodging.

We value, respect and support the racial, ethnic, religious, spiritual, gender and sexual identities of each member of our diverse communities. In keeping with our Mission, Providence offers financial assistance programs that provide free and low-cost care to those who are eligible.

Covenant Health has been caring for the people of West Texas and eastern New Mexico for over 100 years. Today, we have world-class oncologists in two hospitals and one cancer care center.

Covenant is part of the Providence family, and as our patient, you have access to the largest community-based cancer network in the United States. This means that your local cancer care team shares knowledge and experience with other world-class clinicians across Providence’s 51 hospitals in seven states. The power of our network is one of the reasons over 1,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients choose us for their cancer care each year.

Covenant Health is known for offering options – and hope – to patients seeking advanced therapies to treat their cancer. We partner with the Providence Research Center, the Providence Cancer Network and the Providence Genomic Lab to continually improve our care for the best outcomes. As our patient, you can participate in one of our many clinical trials, including FDA-regulated trials to develop new cancer therapies. We also participate in a tissue repository, in partnership with Texas Tech University, to help researchers learn more about cancer and its spread.

Every Type of Cancer, Expertly Treated

Our dedicated cancer specialists provide expert care for every type of cancer and related condition. If your individualized treatment plan requires therapies offered at another one of our facilities, your physician will work hand in hand with that location and its physicians to give you the best possible care.

Awards and Accreditations

We are proud to see our dedication to our cancer patients recognized by some of the most well-respected programs and institutions in the United States. Covenant Health is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), so we can participate in additional clinical trials through the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network and the National Clinical Trials Network.
