Private Duty Nursing
Private duty nurses provide a higher level of one-on-one care in the comfort of your own home. Patients receive care from registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
Providence Home Care can provide private duty/skilled nursing care for those with long-term needs or for anyone who is recovering after a recent injury, illness or surgery. Private duty/skilled nursing is a convenient alternative to traveling to an outpatient center for treatment. We offer personalized care, tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. We work with families in offering advanced care beyond what a traditional caregiver can offer.
What can a Private Duty/Skilled Nurse do?
An at-home nurse can observe, manage and treat patients. They take the steps necessary to communicate with the prescribing doctor in order to keep an illness or condition from getting worse. Our compassionate nurses are highly skilled and can help you or a loved one with the following medical needs:
- Initial client assessment
- Pre-surgery and post-surgery care
- Routine monitoring of vitals
- Catheter care/change
- Tracheostomy/ventilator care
- Pain management
- Injections
- Wound care
- Tube feeding
- Pulmonary care
- Medication management
Our private duty nurses are available whenever you need them. From scheduled nursing visits to hourly care, someone is there to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We work with your loved one's medical team to offer the professional support he or she may need. Our nurses complement traditional non-medical caregivers and give family members extra peace of mind.
