Providence Everett Honored for Excellence in Maternity Care

[2 min. read]

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE) has been named a 2025 High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report. Providence Swedish knows expecting parents consider hospital services, amenities, safety, and quality when deciding where to have a baby. This prestigious recognition is a testament to our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns.

To help patients decide where to receive care, U.S. News & World Report generates hospital ranking by evaluating data on nearly 5,000 hospitals. To be nationally ranked with the highest rating by U.S. News, a hospital must provide exceptional care, excellent patient experience, effective patient outcomes, successful technology utilization, and excel in several other important measures.

Exceptional Maternity Care

PRMCE’s recognition for outstanding maternity care services include specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care units. Our hospital also boasts one of the lowest C-section rates in the state and the lowest newborn complication rates.

Additionally:

  •      Our rate of vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC) surpasses the state average.
  •           Providence Everett’s episiotomy rate is less than 5%.
  •      We are recognized as Birthing-Friendly for demonstrating a commitment to improving patient safety practices to improve maternal outcomes.

These achievements reflect our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and babies. To learn more, visit U.S. News & World Report’s complete rankings of Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.

Philanthropy Fundraisers Support Maternity Care

Our success would not be possible without the generous support of our community and donors. This year, the Providence General Foundation raised an impressive $1.46 million at its annual Festival of Trees fundraiser, with more than half of the funds supporting Family Maternity Center services at PRMCE.
