Common infections are usually treated effectively by your family doctor. But, sometimes, you need a specialist for long-term management of an infectious disease. The doctors at Providence Medical Group Infectious Disease will work closely with your primary care provider to make sure you get the coordinated care you need.

We’re here for you whether you’re a hospital inpatient, or you’re referred by a doctor, or you call on your own.

New patients will need to be screened or provide medical documentation before scheduling an appointment. We may be able to schedule a same-day appointment if you are an existing patient and if your infection has gotten worse. If you’ve seen another provider for your infection – such as your primary care physician – please have that provider supply notes to us.

Please bring you the following to your appointment:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance card
  • Referral from primary care physician (if required by your insurance plan)
  • Co-payment (if required by your insurance plan)
  • Full list of medications with dosages (including over-the-counter supplements)
  • Detailed history of symptoms and treatments – including pathology reports
  • Medical records
  • List of questions
