Donna J. Niemela, CNM

A certified nurse midwife, Donna Niemela, CNM, entered the field of medicine to make a difference in the care of mothers, babies, families, and the community. “My most important role is to make a difference in the health and well-being of my patients and their families,” she says.

In her practice, Donna emphasizes that each person has their own life story that influences their decisions. “I am here to honor those decisions,” she explains. “I respect that each person has basic needs, rights and privileges, no matter what their race, color, sex, economic status, or national origin may be.”

Donna earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Oregon Health & Science University.

She is a native Oregonian and is married with five children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
