Lee Thomas Erickson, PA-C, MSc started with our Vascular Surgery department for the International Heart Institute, June 6, 2022. “Vascular surgery allows me to form long-term relationships with my patients. I enjoy talking with my patients and their families to help them understand their diagnosis and treatment options and learn what matters most to them. I strive to provide high-quality and compassionate care that is individualized to meet my patient’s needs and goals.”

Lee is a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and worked as a guide on domestic and international backpacking trips for high school and college students. Lee also worked as a medic and deckhand on a commercial salmon fishing boat in Bristol Bay, Alaska. He is passionate about austere medicine with an emphasis on neglected tropical diseases. He spent 3 months in Eswatini, Africa leading a pilot study to understand the effectiveness of innovate community engagement and public health education strategies to mitigate snakebite envenomation in the region.

Lee and his wife and daughter are very excited to be living in the Northwest region. When he is not working here at IHI, Lee enjoys fly fishing, cycling, backpacking, and trail running with his dog, Rumba.
