About George M. Makkar
Board certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Makkar joined Cal Med Physicians and Surgeons after completing a two-year vascular surgery fellowship and general surgery residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. During his fellowship, Dr. Makkar gained extensive experience in the treatment of vascular disease, using endovascular and open vascular surgical methods.
In addition to his work in the Cal Med ASC and Cal Med Vascular Center in Colton, Dr. Makkar is involved in the development of comprehensive vascular services programs at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton and Redlands Community Hospital in Redlands. Dr. Makkar earned his doctor of medicine degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and obtained his bachelor of arts in Psychology and Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California.
