About Austin M. Brekke
Born and raised in Spokane, WA, Austin a Nurse Practitioner, board-certified in family practice. Following his undergraduate studies in Psychology and Human Development at Washington State University, Austin attended undergraduate Nursing school at Washington State University in Spokane. His Nursing experience prior to Advanced Practice included inpatient cardiology, neuroscience, pulmonology, medical/surgical care, and outpatient urgent care. Austin completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Washington State University in Spokane. Prior to joining Neurosurgery, he completed a one-year residency and continued to practice in primary care at Community Health Association of Spokane. Austin promotes the health and wellness of his patients through a holistic, patient-centered approach.

Outside of practice, Austin enjoys hikes while appreciating nature, swimming, camping, travel, reading both historical non-fiction and science-fiction, yardwork, and streaming television.
