About Timothy D. Uschold
Dr Uschold grew up in upstate New York, and completed his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology and Behavior not far from home at Cornell University. At Cornell, he earned Summa Cum Laude designation along with distinction in research. He matriculated to Duke University for his medical school training under an academic scholarship, and was inducted into the AOA honor society. He continued his interest in neurosciences, studying peripheral nerve regeneration and repair after traumatic injury. Dr. Uschold completed his surgical training at the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, AZ. During residency he was awarded the Cahill Fellowship Grant to pursue supplemental infolded training in complex spinal neurosurgery at Frenchay Hospital (Bristol, UK). He also completed additional supplemental training in spinal deformity in Miami, Florida. Dr. Uschold’s training and interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity, skull base microsurgery, treatment of intracranial and spinal tumors, peripheral nerve surgery, and neurosurgical trauma. Along with his wife and three children, Dr. Uschold moved to Medford in July 2013. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, backpacking, running, gardening, golf, violin and cooking.
