About David I. Dryland
Dr. David Dryland is a Yale University trained specialist in rheumatology. He has been a Rheumatologist since July of 2000. Before devoting himself to study and practice in the area of rheumatic disorders, he was previously a doctor of internal medicine. You may have never heard of a rheumatologist until your referral. There are many rheumatic diseases. Rheumatology is a specialized field of medicine that includes the diagnosis and management of arthritis and related disorders. Such conditions usually involve the joints, but they also may affect other organs including skin, eyes, blood, heart, lungs, kidneys and gastrointestinal tract. Depending on the patient and their history, Dr. Dryland may need to utilize laboratory and/or x-ray testing procedures to ensure accurate diagnosis and proper patient care. Other services patients may receive at the office of Dr. Dryland are joint aspiration procedures and injection treatments for inflamed joints. Dr. Dryland may also act as consultant to your surgeon, providing a second opinion or recommendation regarding your condition prior to a surgery being performed. While the large majority of patients referred to Dr. Dryland are in need of care for their arthritic disorder, he also provides diagnosis, treatment and assistance with rehabilitation for pain syndromes and obscure inflammatory and immunologic illnesses. Dr. Dryland also has an interest in helping patients with fibromyalgia. In 2007 he published The Fibromyalgia Solution. He also holds a talk every other month for his patients. This focuses on how to control stress without medications.
