Go Bruins! Dr. Kookootsedes received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Southern California where she graduated with highest distinction. During her training at USC, Dr. Kookootsedes was nominated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society and also received the American Medical Women Association Achievement Award. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency and fellowship in rheumatology at UCLA. She feels fortunate to have trained at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, VA West Los Angeles Medical Center, and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Kookootsedes finished her training in 2000 and has practiced in both Los Angeles and Orange County. She is dedicated to providing top-notch patient care, staying abreast of medical developments and furthering her medical knowledge. Dr. Kookootsedes strives to practice by the principles echoed in the quote by William Osler, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
