Dr Young is an exemplary physician. He is caring, considerate, waits for complete answers, and replies thoughtfully. He is knowledgeable and very professional. He shows empathy, and gave me excellent advice on how to improve my stamina and pulmonary function. I want him to know that I followed his advice. After walking slowly without talking for one month, I was able to walk 2.5 miles today with my walking group at the marsh, talking, and without feeling out of breath even once. Thank you, Dr Young! We (my wife and I ) were pleasantly surprised at how thorough and informed Dr Young was on my health history. We hope that he stays. The North Coast has been without a pulmonologist for too many years.

I wish all Providence providers were as accommodating and cordial as Dr. Young and his office staff.

Everybody was great!

Health care is very limited in Humboldt County. We waited 4 months to get the appointment with DR Young, as he is the ONLY Pulmonologist here. Thank goodness he is here! We need more professionals like him in Humboldt County.

I can't imagine what would happen to me if he leaves, and I so hope he doesn't - like other good doctors I've had briefly. His staff is great also. I can tell he works very hard as well. I so appreciate and value him.

Dr Young is knowledgeable, competent and caring. The only problem is getting an appointment within a short time. This isn't a reflection on Dr Young, but a problem for Humboldt County in general.

We discussed current condition and CT scan.We looked t new approaches and decided to change one medication. The doctor explained why and made it easy to understand.

I loved Dr. Young, once I could get an appointment. When trying to make an appointment, I was informed I had to have PFTs done at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital ([Date]) prior to getting an appointment. I asked if I could make an appointment for the near future. I called back right after my tests to set up an appointment and was told there were no openings and scheduling was only being scheduled out one month at a time. This was very upsetting to me. However, I FINALLY got an appointment on [Date]. That being said, the staff, MA, and Dr. Young could not have been nicer, more friendly and accommodating. Dr. Young is absolutely awesome. I will now follow with him periodically for my pulmonary issues. I would highly recommend him and his practice.to anyone.

Dr Young showed me all the films of my CT and PET scans for the last 2 years while he explained everything on the films to me in a language I could understand and allowed me to ask questions. I now have a much better understanding of what is going on with my lung. He also explained the next steps to be taken that should identify the suspect nodule in my lung. Dr Young's compassion for treating his patients with respect and his desire to help me understand what the next steps in my treatment should be are above and beyond what I have experienced in many years! He is definitely a top notch doctor and human being!
