About Joaquin Chapa
Breathing is an incredibly complex process that sustains us every minute of every day. Dr. Chapa believes that the problems of the respiratory system are fascinating to solve, but also gratifying to help patients with, because breathing well is so fundamental to living well. Before his career as a physician, Dr. Chapa was a professional runner and has experience pushing his body to the limits while also dealing with asthma. He believes that combining an expert understanding of the medical science and physiology of breathing with that direct life experience helps set him apart as a physician. Dr. Chapa has called Oregon home for his entire life; he thinks there is nowhere more special. Dr. Chapa deeply enjoys helping people in this community that he has always been a part of and where he has a lifetime bond.
