Jeni A. Felker

Jeni Felker, PsyD, earned her undergraduate degree in business and marketing, which drew her to advanced study in the field of psychology. She wanted to better understand what makes people do what they do and think what they think.

Dr. Felker’s curiosity about the human condition is foundational in her practice today. “I take a strengths-based approach to help patients with resilience,” she shares. “We use a number of tools, including mindfulness and even humor, to help patients change their thoughts and behaviors.”

After earning her bachelor’s degree, having studied at both Marymount College of Virginia and the University of Dayton, Dr. Felker received a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Florida and a doctoral degree in psychology at Pacific University. She completed her internship at the Children & Adolescent Service Center in Canton, Ohio, and her residency at Morrison Child & Family Services in Portland, Oregon. Before coming to Providence, she worked for the Santiam Medical Group. Dr. Felker has volunteered as a victim advocate for the Beaverton Police and a commissioner on the Beaverton Human Rights Advisory Board; she has also been a board member on the Southridge Youth Lacrosse League. Previously, Dr. Felker trained as a Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Responder.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Felker has lived in a number of states, including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. In her free time, she loves to dance, paint, travel, hang out with her family and friends, and feed her chickens and ducks.
