About Michael B. Kozlowski
Michael B. Kozlowski, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist at Providence Medical Group - Lloyd. He earned his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee and completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in the counseling center at Oregon State University. He then pursued further training through two postdoctoral fellowships at Kaiser Permanente and Oregon Health and Science University, specializing in primary care psychology and developmental psychopathology. Before becoming a psychologist, he worked as a licensed mental health counselor in community clinics serving the Portland/Vancouver Metro area.
Dr. Kozlowski's research has focused on understanding how individual differences in personality impact real-world clinical, educational, and vocational outcomes. His most recent emphasis has been on ADHD. In the clinic, he emphasizes personalized approaches to psychotherapy, having received training in multiple theoretical paradigms, including cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies, interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and time-limited dynamic psychodynamic psychotherapy. For assessment, Dr. Kozlowski is guided by evidenced-based assessment practices. In all, he provides compassionate care that honors each patient’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Kozlowski is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
