About William W. Kaiser

Hello, I’m Dr. William Kaiser, a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find pathways to growth and healing. I hold active licenses in California, Colorado, and Indiana. My journey to becoming a therapist was sparked by a deep curiosity about human behavior. During college, I was a dual major in psychology and pre-law. One day, as I was reading a criminal law book, I found myself less interested in the legal aspects and more fascinated by the question, “Why did these people do what they did?” That moment was an epiphany for me—I realized that understanding and helping people was where I truly belonged, and I chose to dedicate my life to psychology. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology, along with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in psychology, and have spent my career providing personalized, client-centered care. My approach is multifaceted and eclectic, blending techniques and frameworks to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. I have a particular interest in narrative therapy, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, and helping clients reframe their stories to create meaningful change. Over the years, I’ve specialized in areas such as biofeedback, psychopharmacology, chemical dependency intervention and treatment, and occupational health, including employee assistance programs. I previously worked as a Qualified Medical Evaluator through California’s Division of Workers’ Compensation, which deepened my understanding of workplace dynamics and mental health. Since 2017, I’ve been privileged to work as an independent contractor psychologist at Change Within Reach. Here, I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore, heal, and thrive. If you’re ready to start your journey toward well-being, I’m here to help. Together, we can work toward building the life you envision. Areas of Practice: Addiction Specialist; Anxiety; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Dialectic Behavioral Therapy; Life Management Counseling; Mood Disorders; Occupational Issues; PTSD
