About Robert P. Kahn-Rose
Dr. Kahn-Rose is a psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in psychopharmacology as well as psychotherapy.
He treats patients over 18 years of age and he subspecializes in geriatric psychiatry.
Dr. Kahn-Rose frequently provides expert medical opinions to attorneys. His work has included geriatric psychiatry medical-legal evaluations, mental capacity evaluations, expert witness in medical malpractice actions, Worker’s Compensation (AME and QME), and disability evaluations as an Independent Medical Examiner. He has testified in court and in depositions on multiple occasions.
Dr. Kahn-Rose also specializes in working with patients who have serious and/ or chronic medical illnesses. He performs rounds daily on medical-surgical patients at Tarzana Medical Center, providing consultation to the primary physician.
In every setting, Dr. Kahn-Rose works with families of patients to help them cope with their loved ones’ illnesses.
As a faculty member at UCLA, Dr. Kahn-Rose teaches medical students every year. He is also frequently asked to lecture to medical and legal professionals.
