About Randy P. Fiorentino
Dr. Fiorentino is currently Board Certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been practicing here in Orange County since 1997 and, most recently, transitioned from a very successful private practice to join the newly formed Department of OB/GYN at St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group.
In his 17 years of private practice, Dr. Fiorentino maintained an active practice in obstetrics and gynecology. Many of those years, he provided prenatal care to the residents of Mary’s Shelter where he continues to serve on the Advisory Board. In 2002, Dr. Fiorentino was one of two gynecologists at St. Joseph Hospital to be trained as a robotic surgeon. At the launch of the robotic gynecology program, Dr. Fiorentino became the first gynecologist to perform a robotic assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy. He continues to use this cutting edge technology to advance gynecologic surgery in appropriately selected individuals.
Throughout his career here in Orange County, Dr. Fiorentino has been actively involved in department leadership at St. Joseph Hospital . Additionally, Dr. Fiorentino serves as the Director of the Laborist Program at St. Joseph Hospital, where he also actively participates as a member of the panel.
Dr. Fiorentino has been married for 24 years to his wife, Anne. They are actively involved in supporting their parish, St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin. They also enjoy supporting each of the schools where their four children attend, including St. Cecilia Catholic School, where Anne works.
Philosophy of Care:
Each and every one of my patients comes to me with different needs. As a physician, I am challenged to address each need as part of a whole, each individual as a holistic person. I believe that health care for every one of my clients needs to be individualized and customized.
In providing health care to my patients, I strive to meet those needs by understanding their concerns, investigating the problem, providing information necessary to make decisions, then collaborating with my patient to make the best choices and decisions possible for that individual.
The trust and respect fostered by the physician/patient relationship is one of the most amazing aspects of what I do. When this part of the relationship is allowed to mature, it can grow into a lifelong relationship. Over the last 24 years as a physician, I have been fortunate to develop very strong physician/patient relationships and I see this as the back bone of my successful practice.
