Cassandra M. Niemi, MD

Dr. Cassandra Niemi joined Providence Cancer Institute in 2021 and specializes in caring for people with gynecologic cancers in Portland, OR. She tailors surgical and medical treatments to her patients' needs, providing fertility-sparing options, minimally-invasive surgery, and targeted therapies when appropriate. Dr. Niemi has particular interest in connecting patients with the latest treatments through clinical trials. Her approach to medicine focuses on maximizing quality of life during and after treatment.

She believes that the best care is given when patients and their providers work as a team. “It’s an amazing privilege to be a part of my patients’ lives. I love getting to know my patients, so that we can come up with a treatment plan that honors the whole person.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Niemi enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, hiking or skiing in the mountains, playing bass guitar and cycling.
