About Azmi W. Atiya

As the current Director of Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic Oncology at Tarzana Medical Center, Dr. Atiya has gained a reputation for thorough patient care and in-depth knowledge of complex medical procedures. Dr. Atiya’s has been recognized over the years for his skill and medical knowledge. He has received the Dagget Prizes in the Anatomies from Albany Medical College, Outstanding Resident of the Year, Dept. of Surgery, UCLA Medical Center, and the Eleventh Annual SSAT/Ross Residents and Fellows Research Award. As a guest lecturer at multiple medical events throughout California, as well as the author of numerous presentations, publications, and abstracts, Dr. Atiya keeps up-to-date on current procedures, including robotic thoracic surgery, minimally invasive mitral and aortic valve surgery, and endovascular aneurysm repairs. He leads a group of surgeons who strive to provide the best care for you and your loved ones.
